TENGGARONG BRIDGE IN 1998

The Kutai Kartanegara Bridge is the second bridge that was built across the Mahakam River after the Mahakam Bridge in Samarinda so it is also called the Mahakam II Bridge

The bridge was originally built to resemble the Golden Gate Bridge in San
Francisco, United States. The construction of this bridge began in 1995 and
was completed in 2001 with the contractor PT Hutama Karya handling
the bridge construction project

When it was inaugurated, the bridge was named the Gate of the Dayaku Bridge
which was taken from the term construction of ideas Syaukani Hasan Rais,
regent at that time.

This bridge is also access to Samarinda or vice versa which can be reached in
only about 30 minutes
